Jane's Guide Here's all the help you need to use Jane.

Timeline for Transitioning to Jane

1. Open a Jane Account about 2 weeks before you want to go live:

You can sign up anytime on our website here, and use the Begin button. Just sign up for the number of Full-Time equivalent licenses that makes sense for you. This license number will not affect the number of staff you can add, it simply sets your subscription fee.

To work through the sign-up process here are a few tips:

  • It’s best to sign up with the business owner’s contact info as this will be Jane’s primary contact for all billing and ownership purposes.
  • Make sure you have access to your business’s email account so we can send you a confirmation link.
  • You will need a VISA or Mastercard to open an account.
  • You will need to know what you’d like your Jane account URL to be.

2. Schedule a Data Import:

Next, if applicable, you will want to schedule your data import. This just means you will select the date you would like our team to upload your data from your previous software on! You can do this under Settings > Schedule an Import.

Please note we’re experiencing higher than normal import volumes. We strongly recommend scheduling your import as soon as you get signed into your new Jane account.

Here are our guide documents to help during this process:

3. Follow the In-App Task List to Complete Account Set-up:

Spend 1-2 weeks completing the tasks found in the Account Set-Up List on the left-hand side of your new Jane account. You’ll set up: Staff Profiles, Schedules, Treatments, Chart Templates, and Clinic Settings.

While you are setting up Jane, you will still want to be working out of your current software so that all of your data is kept up to date, and in one place.

4. Scheduled Data Import:

At the end of the day that you have scheduled your import for, export your data from your current software, and upload it into your Jane account as shown in Scheduling your Import. Our team will then import all your data you’ve provided ready for your next day. Please note that chart transfers can take a bit longer.

5. Get Started!

At this time you will be ready to go live with Jane. We’re available for support at any time, and we recommend checking out our training on a few of the basic workflows so that everyone is comfortable with arriving and taking payment.

With everything set up in those two weeks, most people find the transition fairly fluid. :)

At Jane University, Front Desk.

Jane is also dedicated to providing our clinics with continued and ongoing support even after they’ve gotten settled in. Many of our FAQs can be found in our Guide and Videos support anytime. We’ve even built a feature into Jane that allows you to email our support team directly from your Jane account.
