Deleting a Payment Method

If you’re looking to delete any payment methods that you’ve created used to record payments occurring outside of Jane - things like E-Transfer, Venmo, Paypal or a third party payment processor that isn’t Jane Payments, this is the guide for you!

🔥Tip: deleting payment methods will not remove records of previously recorded payments. Deleting in this case will ensure that that payment method won’t be active for use for future transactions.

To delete a payment method, head to your Settings tab, select Payment Methods, then hit Edit for the method we’re looking to remove.

Once here, you can hit Delete, and you’ll be all set!

If you ever want to bring back this deleted payment method, you can do so by first checking your Transactions, under Reports > Transactions, filter for a date range where you know that method of payment would be active for, and look at the top of the Transactions list to see what you named that payment method.
